Anthony Stuckey coached me fresh out of 8th grade through my high school career at Loy Norrix High School. I earned a scholarship to play at Michigan State University. Throughout my years of playing at Michigan State, I worked with Coach Stuckey each summer with individual skill workouts. I credit a lot of my success to Anthony Stuckey, who as a coach demanded respect, hard work and persistence.

Coach Stuckey is not only just a great person to be around, but he also is a great coach. He’s a very competitive person, which makes him very passionate about the game. In the years he coached me, he made me a better player in all aspects of the game. From skills and conditioning all the way to a better basketball IQ. During the years at Michigan State, I always kept him updated about my academic progress, he always made sure his players were doing well in the classroom, and if they weren’t then he would let them know that the classroom and family come before basketball. Coach Stuckey not only made me a better player, but he also made me a better person. Whenever I needed somebody to talk to, he has always been there for me.

To anyone who has children or young people who want to learn to play basketball, they need to learn the fundamentals and to do that you need a great teacher and coach. Anthony worked with my boys since they were in elementary school and has made a huge difference in the way they play and also as young men.
